No injuries were reported after an ambulance was rear-ended on North Freeway in Harris County Saturday morning.
According to ABC13.com, a Ford Focus was traveling at high speed when it slammed into the ambulance around 1:45 a.m. The force of the crash pushed the ambulance onto the shoulder and that's when both vehicles began burning.
Officials told the television station that nobody was in the back of the ambulance when the collision happened.
A responding sheriff's deputy vehicle was struck by another vehicle as the officer slowed down to help at the scene.
Police were investigating whether the driver of the Focus was intoxicated.
